1. The Service
Bura Bura Quest generates AI-assisted, intentionally semi-random walking itineraries ("routes") for trips in Japan. Routes are creative suggestions designed for wandering, not verified guides.
2. Free and Paid Services
Automated itinerary generation is free during the public launch, and voluntary tips are optional. Itinerary review, research, and omakase route services are paid services. Their scope, tax-inclusive price, and delivery date are shown on the service page and in an individual quotation before you apply.
3. AI-Generated Content
- Routes are produced by large language models (Google Gemini and/or Anthropic Claude), sometimes with Google Search Grounding. They may contain inaccuracies, outdated information, or unintended suggestions (hallucinations).
- Venue names, opening hours, prices, addresses, and walking times may be wrong. Always verify with official sources (Google Maps, official websites) before traveling.
- We make no warranty regarding accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose.
4. Use At Your Own Risk
You travel at your own risk. Follow local laws, official guidance, weather warnings, and basic safety practices. We are not responsible for closures, sold-out items, delays, accidents, injuries, or losses incurred while following a generated route.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful purposes;
- Scrape, mirror, or republish generated content for commercial purposes without written permission;
- Attempt to overload, probe, or break the Service or its authentication;
- Submit prompts designed to elicit harmful, hateful, or illegal output.
6. Intellectual Property
- The brand "Bura Bura Quest", the characters (Masaru, Mamoru, Nia, Yuukami), illustrations, and site copy are © RAIU LLC and may not be reused without permission.
- Map data is provided by Google and is subject to the Google Maps Platform Terms.
- You may use your generated itinerary freely for personal travel, including printing it or sharing it privately with your travel party.
7. Third-Party Services
Use of the Service involves third parties — including Google (Gemini, Maps), Anthropic, Stripe, Resend, Turso, Vercel, and Cloudflare. Your use of those services through Bura Bura Quest is also subject to their respective terms. See our Privacy Policy for links.
8. Payments and Refunds
Tips are voluntary and non-refundable except where required by law. Paid custom services are prepaid by credit card through Stripe after you accept the quotation, and work begins after payment is confirmed. You may cancel for a full refund before work begins. After work begins, we deduct the value of work already performed from the refund. After delivery, customer-requested refunds are not available. If we materially fail to deliver, contact us within 14 days of payment for a refund review.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for users who violate these terms, abuse the Service, or attempt to harm other users.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RAIU LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) JPY 5,000.
12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The Tokyo District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance for any dispute arising under or in connection with the Service.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
